After receiving the award, the midfielder shared a cheeky video message as he made a reference to their upcoming Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.
He said: "Thank you very much for this trophy. It's an honour to receive it. I am sorry I couldn't be there in person. Actually, I am not. Preparing for the Champions League final so maybe another time. This one is dedicated to all my teammates and all the staff and the manager for the belief they had in me and most importantly the fans. The best club in the world. It's a pleasure every time I get to play for this club. And Hala Madrid!"

The 20-year-old bagged numerous gongs in the past year as he won the Golden Boy Award in 2023 and was named the Emerging Player of the Year: 2023 at the Golden Soccer Awards in Dubai. The former Dortmund star has also been named in La Liga Team of the Season 2023/24 and is one of the strong contenders to win the Ballon d'Or in 2024.
