The game was watched on by the legendary 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' star, who sent a special message to the Spanish side and endorsed their 'Mes Que Un Club' ('More than a club') motto.

The legendary British actor posted a message on X that read: "I’d like to thank everyone at FC Barcelona for their incredible kindness to me and my family yesterday. A massive, glamorous club, but everyone we met was so friendly and genuine and with values that are so refreshing in modern sport. It’s clearly true – mes que un club."

Barcelona, meanwhile, will continue on with their charge to return to the top under Flick as they will now take on Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday, August 27.
